Blair Fails to Defend Prescott at PMQs
It's perhaps just as well that John Prescott is on yet another junket, this time to Turkey to attend the opening of a pipeline (er, why?!) because it means he missed PMQs. For those who didn't see it, Tony Blair was asked by David Cameron if John Prescott would be taking over the country in the summer when Blair goes on his freebie hols. Blair gave about the weakest endorsement to Prescott you could think of. And in a later question from Andrew Robothan he also failed to lavish any praise on the Deputy Prime Minister at all. What does it all mean? I think we know.
When was Prezza actually last in the house at all?
ReplyDeleteThe last time that I can recall was when he ws malled during DPM's Questions weeks ago.
'What does it all mean? '
ReplyDeletethat he has the PMs full support
I hope he does go - but just not yet. One more PMQs with him 'testiculating' at the despatch box should be good comedy! It will rally the troops, and remind the country what a scumbag he and his shower are!
ReplyDeleteYou have to agree with Claire Short and Nick Robinson on the Daily Politics when they said that Blair did not want to say anything that could be turned into a headline for tomorrow or come back to haunt him when he fires Prezza in the next few days.
ReplyDeleteI think Blair missed a trick at PMQs today - he should have said something like:
ReplyDelete"Traditionally when the Prime Minister is on holiday or otherwise engaged, the Deputy Prime Minister takes over in his absence. I have no intention of breaking this tradition."
Whether Prescott is still DPM at the time or not is another matter entirely of course :)
More likely to see the bloated prat testicle-ating in the house. Let's hope he comes back from Turkey with a freebie personalised belly dancing outfit...now that would be worth a laugh
ReplyDelete"It will rally the troops, and remind the country what a scumbag he and his shower are!"
ReplyDeleteSo just why would we want to get rid of him - his continued presence can only be beneficial to the opposition.
Of course we need to get rid of Prescott Velvet. You don't really think he is the only sleezebag in this government do you. No ..big John is simply the comedy warm up act and once he goes then we might start on the real villains.
ReplyDeleterigger mortice,
ReplyDeleteIs that the PM's full support as in the political death sentence??
For the sake of the country, I'm hoping so :)
maybe we could ask JP himself,
