My Part in the New Channel 4 News Podcast

Tomorrow I record my first slot for the new daily Channel 4 News podcast. Each week I'll be doing a slot on what's new in the world of political blogs. I've just written my script and I'll be mentioning the following blogs - Lynn Featherstone, Tom Watson, ConservativeHome, Tory Radio, David Miliband, Nick Robinson, Adam Boulton, Trevor Kavanagh. Each week I'll aslo be featuring a Blog of the Week - and this week (cue drum roll) it's Bob Piper! I'm feeling benevolent...

You can download the Channel Four News daily podcast from HERE from Tuesday morning. When it's up, I'll provide a direct link.

  1. I've come over all emotional. I'd better wait until I hear what you say first I suppose.

  2. How about lunch, Iain? Or dinner? Or lunch AND dinner? The chippy's open all day round our way.

  3. Mr Dale,

This is just your version of the A-list!!

I don't expect to get a look-in, but my blog has all the real undercurrents of contemporary politics.

Neither C4 or the BBC (or even the main political parties) appear to understand this.

  4. O Iain, the blogs you mention will be:

    a) your political soulmates
    b) those you seek to flatter
    c) political c-listers from whom you have nothing to fear
    d) those who have advertised your latest book and you owe a favour

    Politics is just incestuous.

  8. Mr bongo, my socialist credibility rating was already nil, but its OK, as everyone knows, we don't do competitive. Also, I must be (c) in anonymous' ratings, because I don't fit the other categories. Now... I'm hurt, a political c-lister (or perhaps I should be flattered).

  9. I'm sure your turn will come...!

Doh! What's the betting it will... Dr Freling, you clearly fit into the 'owed a favour' category.

Jonathan Sheppard, you are a Tory soulmate.

Bob Piper, you are a councillor and therefore, by definiton, 'c list'.

Larry, you prove my point, the whole process is just to get potentials to tell Iain how much they love him.

And Cranmer, forget it mate, you're far too intelligent for Iain to grasp your political insights.

  10. There's more news about South Shields in my own blog than what there is in our Member of Parliament's!

  11. If you must mention Kavanagh, I hope you're going to say that it's not really a blog....
