Bromley By Election: LibDem HQ Opens

This is the new LibDem By Election HQ in Bromley. Thanks to Rob Fenwick for permission to use the photo. Read more by following this LINK. Let this be a warning to the Conservatives. Let no one take this by election for granted. I hope we have our HQ up and running too. But if we have, I haven't heard about it.

  1. I am going to watch the New Statesmen play in Bromley Churchill Theatre on Wednesday 30 May with 5 friends of various political persuasions. This date is the only one on the tour which is followed by a "talk" which should be intriguing at worst.

  2. Agree with Iain, never underestimate the LibDems (even now) - by elections are their bread and butter... I hope to lend a hand at some stage, after exams, and see if a Leicestershire CF contingent might make it down :)

  3. ...to which they have no right...

Mr Slevin, we live in a democracy, not a Communist state; there is no notion in Conservative philosophy of 'owning' a constituency. Conservatism espouses freedom of the individual, and this includes the right of a free people to select whichever representative they want.

That, I am absolutely and unequivocally sure, would be Mr Forth's position.

  5. Doesn't this go right against Ming's quote from the other day of "no doing anything until the writ is moved" [I paraphrase]? Yet according to Mr Fenwick the Libs have been crawling over Bromley all weekend.

  6. UKIP are indeed fielding Nigel Farage MEP - their website is at www.ukipbromley.com and is almost completed!

  7. Bob Neil has shown that being on the M(Masonic) List is of more use than being on the A List. He may be a member of the Greater London Lodge, but West Kent lodge members will no doubt have voted solidly for him.
