More LibDem Defection Rumours
For all those LibDems who are slagging me off for promulgating defection rumours read THIS. I am not alone.
It's still the same old words cropping up - "speculation", "rumour" - and the speculation is that 3 unnamed MPs are "considering" their options.
Unsurprisingly, I hope this is untrue. In all honesty, I have to admit that I'd be surprised and disappointed if an MP did defect.
Personally, I'm of the opinion that Cameron's "liberalism" is a trick. For liberal Tories, it must feel like manna from heaven after Howard and IDS, but in the long-run Cameron can't please all of the people all of the time. I just can't buy the idea that Cameron is offering genuine liberalism. fwiw, my latest blog post covers my thoughts on this matter.
Iain, I will keep my identity to myself, but I have served on the East of England executive for the Lib Dems and also am a senior councillor in Norfolk and can certainly say I am on the inside track when it comes to knowledge of people and things Lib Dem in this area.
To call this man from West Suffolk a nobody is to do a dis-service to nobodies ! Please don't take this the wrong way (oo-er), as I am sure that all political parties make a fuss about any PPC defecting, but he really, really would not have a clue as to what Lib Dem MP's are thinking because, to put it quite plainly, Lib Dem MP's don't know who he is anyway !

It's in the Guardian so it must be right... er, well...
ReplyDeleteAnd serial defector Elletson wants to defect back - who does he think he is - Churchill or something?
You're welcome to Elletson. Anything else is a fabrication.
ReplyDeleteIt's nearly 6pm and nothing yet on Hughes. Is this in itself a kind of statement?
