Iain, You said you don't remember any anti-semitism regarding Michael Howard. What about the time when Labour produced posters depicting Michael Howard as Shylock and Fagin plus flying pigs of Howard and Letwin ? It's true the posters were later withdrawn, but the object of Labour's disgraceful ploy was to inform the voters that Michael Howard was Jewish so that anyone who didn't want a Jewish prime minister should vote Labour. I'm sure they would deny it.
