  6. Iain,

Judging by the title, I thought I was going to disagree with your "Daily Rant" on petitions.... but I totally agree.

Petitions could be a force for good if used wisely.

I still hope the "Gordon Brown should resign" petition does very well, since Gordon Brown sits there with his fingers in his ears doing what the hell he likes, despite evidence he is making stupid mistakes.

I hope the petition gives him a big kick in the goolies.

P.S. You could do Rick Stein voice overs - do you have the same voice coach ;-)

  8. IndependenceHome? Hmm. What would that shining wit Mr Noble think of it?

O/T but I hope you raise with the assorted Libs at Thrope's 80th their disgraceful treatment of him, as recounted in Clark 10-01-1987. Really typical Libs, casting aside anyone who isn't useful.

  10. The pointlessness f the petitions to 10 Downing Street was always obvious - but youcan have a giggle with "Nom de Plumes "
It's the only laugh you'll get out of Brown unless you can do "a Hannan" and fillet him in public so that he daren't throw a wobbler !
(I wonder what notes he was making when Hannan nailed him .... Dear Deidre, I don't have any friends)

  11. Dave Davis is on BBC4 looking good. He's a nice chap with an ace constituency. Have a bud who lives in Beverley and it feels chill.

  12. He's engaging the crowd and being himself.
