Quite a poor show from Liam Byrne and his officials. Today’s Cabinet Office Strategy Unit paper on Social Mobility lists a “Ministerial Forward” on pages 2 & 3.
You would have thought they could have managed to get the spelling right before publishing.
UPDATE: Glad to see this blog's influence extends to Mr Byrne's office and that the documentr has now been corrected.

People in the BBC are paid too much apparently Does this include Bonkers Boris’s many TV appearences on Have I got news for you. And I wonder how much Clarkson ( Tories favourite ) is also paid..nearly as much as Ross I believe – but we don’t mention that do we Tory boys and Girls. Throwing the baby out with the bath water

I think this is possibly less a 'spelling' problem as one brought up by the vapid and facile use of 'action' language to sex-up dull as ditchwater papers..
ReplyDeleteBadging them up with 'Facing the Future' or 'Fighting the Flab' or similar tosh might lead to someone thinking that it was this kind of 'marketing speak' which was required in this instance..
You're lucky he put the t in Ministerial. He annoys me with his Bri-in for Britain. Like Milliband come to think of it.

Thats £4 million p.a. LESS than Ross. So much for 'nearly' as much, Mr anonimouse.
I doubt that Clarkson is bothered what you think. He can always go to another channel with his successful TV programme.
The entire paper is trite tosh - no new conclusions, no firm statistical basis, poor logic, few valid conclusions, lots of buzzwords.

Further to Mr Clarkson and salary... I believe that "Top Gear" is BBC's most successful "export" - it's sold all over the world and makes a substantial profit. Therefore one must assume that "Jezza's" salary is money well spent. Unlike a lot of the rest at the beeb.
