We shouldn't hurry to make fun of a typing error made in the rushto meet a
deadline. However, it's particularly unfortunate, not to say relevant to this
newsletter, that the British MP Frank Fieldsent out a press release on Wednesday
welcoming the proposal that immigrants to the UK should learn English before they
arrive. It began "Endlsigh For Immigrants Is Common Sense".

Do you speak English? Yes, I speak Wall Street English...
Doesn't he have a spellchecker?
Good Mp Frank Field; he cares about people even if they don't live in the SE.
What has happened to FF. He used to be an independently minded MP, hired to 'think the unthinkable' on topics like Welfare Reform.
And now he's reduced to appending his name to nonsense produced for him by other people..Dear oh dear..
Why should immigrants be forced to choose one insurance company over any other one? Does Frank Field have shares in Endsleigh or sommat?
Iain
Despite the rubbish we have as management, the family oop north is strong ,be careful how you talk about Mr Frank Field as he is a very respected and well liked MP in Birkenhead ,I live just outside said place and we have a lovely Con PPC who doing a great job for this area , my problem is, do I take the hassle my old mum will give me because of you having a go at Mr Field ,or when the time comes vote for the lady.
Frank Field is a friend of mine. I published his book. I am not 'having a go'. It's amusing.
Who is this man Frank Fieldsent and why are you having a go at his Endglish?

Let you off then :-)
Endlsigh is the Anglo-Saxon pronunciation, don't you know.
When Sky's Adam Boulton reported on his blog Frank Field's description of Gordon Brown as "Mrs. Rochester", he referred to her as "the mad woman in the attack." He has since corrected the spelling but I rather liked the first description.
Funnily enough, we have a new Portugese kid at our school who, surprise surprise, doesn't speak a sodding word of English.
