18 Doughty Street Highlights This Week
I thought I'd give you a quick rundown of some programmes we showed on 18 Doughty Street this week, which you might want to dip into if you're having a quiet weekend.
Please sort out Doughty St for us Mac users. (I can get Webcameron without problems. Well, without technical ones.) I know we are a small minority but only Doughty Street presents a problem (buffering lag in QuickTime)... Which can't be right.
Several of today's papers also have sly references to nosepicking, nosediving etc. Brown is becoming a laughing stock over this and may see his political ambitions slip away.

In the 1970s, according to Ruth Lea, "Britain was a basket case. . . . I was in the Treasury.. . "
Paxman: "Nyeeeerrrsss!"
Cause-effect linkage, perhaps?
Gordon's nose picking has now reached the Guardian.

Those Blairite Guardianistas really don't like the Chancellor and are making a meal of this one (pun intended)
The Humphrey Malins interview is good - thinking about drugs and what policy will actually work is required of anyone interested in politics.
Its a fairly non-political interview with the sort of MP that makes parliament worth while.

Today's Sun has turned on Brown over his con-trick budget and makes a sly reference to his nasal habits:
CHANCELLOR Gordon Brown’s popularity NOSEDIVED after Wednesday’s Budget......

For a moment I thought that said "Rolf Harris Memorial Service".
Duh.
