“has been a leading figure in parliamentary opposition to his A List policy which she has said is "an insult to women”
I would ask her Would she accept that there is ever a need for a top down party solution to the structural exclusion from Parliament of so many groups. For example working parents, who do not have the time and ( with ref to the front page of the Daily Mail) Look at the consequences. Can`t we have more of this correction to structural exclusion.
2 Does she believe in a political environment where MPs are chosen rather than elected it is reasonable for a small number of oddities ( and I am one) in Associations to choose who governs us . See political disengagement etc.
3 If she believes , as she presumably does , that this is a re-branding exercise the isn’t it right that the wishes of the electorate are imposed to some extent on the party by its leadership. Is she not in the position of saying ( As Simon Heffer actually did )that fool Cameron is trying to appeal to everyone (Calamity )
4Is it really an insult to women or just an insult to women like her who are , unusually capable of pretending to be men ?
5 What right does she have to speak on behalf of women ? Would a man say . Its an insult to men ? In fact her acceptance of the language is an acknowledgement of the need to normalize access for women into politics
Not very punchy is it .. sorry ( and how do I get a link for my blog on your site ?)
OK If you were trying to appear trendy and with it (ref Mings Monkey Shame !!) what pop group , football team , slang usage or MAKEOVER would you be preapred to submit to .
Would the prision crisis be cured immiediately but the reintroduction of penalties like being forced to have sex with Anne Widd.( She knows all about prisons)
Please ask Anne what benefits she believes 'faith schools' offer. Does she think that such schools should be encouraged/required to offer a proportion of their places to children of other faiths (or none)?
Given the current Conservative leadership's total marginalisation of the kind of social authoritarianism AW has previously advocated, does she feel her political career has been as much a failure as, say, Tony Benn's was in the 1980s? More specifically, what were her true feelings on hearing David Cameron's comments last week about civil partnerships?
Ask a question, then if she tries to fudge it, ask it again 13 times a la Paxman of her old boss ! Seriously though, why have neither parties got to grips with Crime and Punishment. Is it institutional inertia, and would she support locally elected Chief Constables- the answer should be a resounding yes !
I like and admire Anne Widdicombe, however I think her (religious based?) views on Cannabis and the like are outdated, archaic and stupid. Does she still think people should be locked up for smoking a virtually harmless herb which does no one but the user any harm?
Actually I think prisons is what I would go for. Topical obviously and she does have a great knowledge about it. What would she do ? Can we have proper custodial mental health care back please and stop mixing the ill with the bad .
As one of the least likely politicians to do panto in retirement what does she think of tony Blairs long job application and the Blunckett horror
?god I would be awful at this ? Hope you `ve got something better than that
As a Conservative MP with "character" what do you think of the increasingly one-personality near-presidential direction that Mr Cameron is taking? With the exception of William Hague, most of his shadow cabinet are near-unknowns. Should the Conservative Party focus less on Dave?
The Bruges Group states on its website that "By 2007 the combined direct and indirect costs of EU membership will cost Britain close to £100,000 per minute." (which is approx. £50 billion per annum).
The EU now makes laws on everything from how our household waste is disposed of, through to the tariffs we must pay on products imported into Britain from outside the EU, through to requiring booster seats for children under 135cm.
The ECJ has recently expanded its jurisdiction to include some aspects of healthcare, one of the only things that politicians in the UK still have a relatively free hand over.
Clearly, Parliament has become increasingly irrelevant, and our democracy has in many areas been practically abolished.
On present and past trends, the future direction will be all one way.
On the financial side (which was supposedly the main attraction once), the costs are now considerable.
Would Anne support a move towards a relationship between Britain and the EU similar to the one that Switzerland enjoys? Switzerland pays a modest price for free market access in a number of areas, it is free to adopt EU laws where is wishes, but remains free to govern itself in all areas that it sees fit.
Anne would you agree that Cameron has something of the "lite" about him? Also do you like me want to congratulate that judge in the Bahamas who has just sentenced a failed rapist (the lady fought him off) to 16 years in prison and 8 lashes of the cat?
Has the obsession with image and contrived media appearances gone too far? How can the party prove it cares... beyond a series of transparent gimmicks?
Does she feel that parties should change to refect the general mood and direction of society, and risk being shown to be lacking substance and principles, or to stick with deep-rooted ideas and approaches, but risk being shown to be out of date and unelectable?
About the only thing Cameron has been clear about is his contempt for social conservatives, even to the point of including a gratuitous jibe in his conference speech. As someone who’s probably Britain’s leading social conservative and a Tory MP, can Ann explain why any socio-con would vote for a party that so obviously hates them ? Surely there must be a point at which even Ann must consider her position in the Party ?
Ask her if she remembers participating with me in a debate about fatherhood at the ICA a while back with Darcus Howe and an angry Fathrs4Justice man and my impressive chairing of the proceedings. But seriously...ask her if she has concerns about the moral foundations of Conservatism under the all-new liberal Cameron regime especially re. the family. Cheers.

Does anyone in the Notting Hill Set have something of the night about them?
Anne, What colour hair-do are yu considering for the future
Ask her why fraser nelson's column in the News of the World is so terminally piss-poor!

Do blondes have more fun?

What's her favourite restaurant and is she available for dinner?

Thats me done

Regards David Cameron. Does Anne believe that..
..there is something of the night nurse about him?
A statement and then a question to Anne:
The Bruges Group states on its website that "By 2007 the combined direct and indirect costs of EU membership will cost Britain close to £100,000 per minute." (which is approx. £50 billion per annum).
The EU now makes laws on everything from how our household waste is disposed of, through to the tariffs we must pay on products imported into Britain from outside the EU, through to requiring booster seats for children under 135cm.

Anne
would you agree that Cameron has something of the "lite" about him?
Also do you like me want to congratulate that judge in the Bahamas who has just sentenced a failed rapist (the lady fought him off) to 16 years in prison and 8 lashes of the cat?
Seeing as she had a prison ship I'm wondering why the Tories didn't build more prisons. And, why do we let scumbags out early?
What one piece of (candid) advice she would give Dave after his first nine months as leader.
Has the obsession with image and contrived media appearances gone too far? How can the party prove it cares... beyond a series of transparent gimmicks?
Ok..I'll make up a question...
Does Anne see any similarities between David Cameron and Tony Blairs restructuring of their parties?
Ask her if she remembers participating with me in a debate about fatherhood at the ICA a while back with Darcus Howe and an angry Fathrs4Justice man and my impressive chairing of the proceedings. But seriously...ask her if she has concerns about the moral foundations of Conservatism under the all-new liberal Cameron regime especially re. the family. Cheers.
It made me stop and think about the scandal of real rock bottom poverty and despair.
Please pop £50 in a milk bottle outside my caravan then your Countness.
Now, if there is ever a person who would benefit from turning Islamic and taking up the veil (and the gag)........
How about:
Have you ever (1) smoked a spliff, (2) had sex or (3) gone fox hunting?
Bo, so why do you feel you have the right to ban them?
(OK she doesn't want to ban sex, but she doesn't exactly seem liberal on it does she)
