Blogging & Prescott Article for Comment is Free
I've written a lengthy article for Comment is Free which you access on their site HERE . It's too long to post here. It's headlined I MAY BE A BLOGGER BUT I'M NOT AN ATTACK DOG. It's only been on the Comment is Free site for an hour but it's attracting a lot of comments!

Crikey! You and Guido have certainly upset that Marat character over at Comment Is Free. Unless he's a satirical invention.
Iain, I understand that you make a living out of being a media pundit and political commentator and I further applaud such a bold enterprise. You are, however, a conservative and of the Thatcher right wing devoted type. This makes you very flawed in many eyes where I come from and where I served my political apprenticeship.
listen to me or ignore me, it does not matter to me.
If John Prescott stands down because of the old school tie, upper class tory toff bully boy brigade, then I would be the first one to call him a coward.
John is a working class hero. He has shafted the Tories for over ten years and appeared to enjoy it at the same time. We enjoyed it even more, may I add.
So, do your worst, or best, but get this very clear.
John is a hero of the left and we expect him to stand and fight and fight to win.
No John Prescott, no new Labour project or revolution. I don't expect you Tories to understand, but I do expect you to lose and lose very badly.

What have you done to merit such attention. I've just scrolled down in an attempt to find the article which has caused such a reaction.
Sorry if i'm wrong but all there appears to be is lots of tittle tattle about which programes you are appearing on and one two line post which provides a link to what "Guido Fawkes" has written.
So I don't really understand how you are a participant in this.
Iain, whats your response to Marat's point on comment is free re your silence about Tory misdemeanors: Cameron, Ashcroft, Johnson ... ?
This 'sword of truth' business is a bit tiresome.
It is excellent. I said it sounds like there is a witch hunt against you. You are feared by Labour because you are setting the agenda by proactively laying bare these facts which are being picked up by the mainstream media and splashed across the front pages and on the news. You cannot be blamed for that, surely. I guess it will be raised on Question Time tonight too.

Gary Elsby is right, it is only because he is northern and working class that he is being picked on.
Ask yourself this; if a posh, southern, old-school-tie Tory had punched a protester, avoided his council tax, shagged his staff, lied about meetings with an American billionaire, molested his staff, driven 200 yards to an "Encourage Walking" conference, shagged his staff, got paid a small fortune for not running a government department and shagged his staff would anyone have said anything?
No.
Gary, in order to qualify as a working class hero, shouldn't the person in question actually do something? All Prescott has done is spend your money on things he likes, and shagged around. A proper working class hero is surely a person who works hard, gets into a position of power, and uses it wisely for the benefit of all?

Excellent article Iain, the worrying part for Bliar is how on earth can he possibly enjoy his holiday in the sun? Leaving Prezza in charge will surely cause his phone to be busy for the duration!

Well this blog was brought to my atention following yesterday's sky news report. How refreshing that to have someone finally say it how it is. I do think the media are somewhat restricted in what they can report. I'm from the the north of England and feel it's time for the lazy, fat, overpaid joke to go! He's a drain on society!

As I said, I don't expect Tory failures(for your class) to understand anything regarding politics of the type that runs a successful Country.

Huh? Some Tories couldn't even pick their bloody noses without Prescott et al gibbering about upper class etc and screaming sleaze when this NuLabour government is exceeding anything previous ones got up to by a very lagre margin and have done so since Day 1 in 1997!
The only one bringing up class issues ALL THE TIME is Mr Prescott who seems to this son of the working class to be more upper middle class than many Tories nowadays! The guy always hurls in the class rubbish when he gets caught out. He is a buffoon and were he not a Labour icon having shoved his way up via the union route he'd still be pushing little old ladies around the deck on the QE2 rather than groping them, for years (allegedly)! There are more working class Tory voters nowadays thanks to the likes of Prescott and the NuLabour crowd who claim to be looking after us yet have just as many millionaires as the Tories! How come the 'sisters' of NuLabour the first to scream rape or sexist pig at others have not said a dicky bird re Prescott (with the exception of Kate Hoey)...their principles seem to be sadly lacking when the Boss Man tells them to shut up and support Prescott....

Prezza is far less working class than nearly all of us. He is an insult to working people everywhere, with his belief that the world owes him a living.
