Most Republican presidents since the war have been either non-entities (Eisenhower) or umitigated disasters (Ford) or unscrupulous liars (Nixon). Reagan bucks the trend only because he holidayed so much. In contrast, all the major innovations in US politics originating from the President, at least since Teddy Roosevelt, came from Democrats.

In saying that, left-wing bias could explain putting Clinton and JFK ahead of Truman, and not having LBJ in there.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06796643543682455458noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6214838.post-90522235381602289292008-11-25T13:40:00.000+00:002008-11-25T13:40:00.000+00:00This may also explain why politics is considered s...This may also explain why politics is considered such a useless degreeJoeFhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00426110406226256686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6214838.post-18734610265469150452008-11-25T13:30:00.000+00:002008-11-25T13:30:00.000+00:00Many Americans see Reagan as having done some very...Many Americans see Reagan as having done some very good and some blooming awful.

Did very little for manufactoring, just spent oddles, which later teh Dems paid down, invaded a foreign country etc etc.

His opposition was awful, Carter and [forgotten who] and he was better than them.Bobhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08810599928765693534noreply@blogger.com
