10.00am ...Yesterday's Conference Highlights

10.00am Fringe Meeting: Why Britain must abandon Europe!
Speaker: Sir Xavier E. Nophobe. (attended by the entire mad section of the Party, total 13,445)

Sir Xavier spoke at length about the need to ditch Europe. There was delight in the crowd when he condemned Johnny Foreigner as a "no good, corrupt and

utterly unprincipled swine of a fellow who just wants to take advantage of our fine English bodily fluids". Mr Nophobe went on to demand that Britain

leave not just the EU but the entire planet. He also denounced the ghastly English Channel, which he said is "nothing but a channel for foreigners to

cross easily into dear old Blighty". By this time, many Tories in the audience were openly weeping and rending their garments. "We must cancel this

ghastly institution which is stealing away our sovereignty and return at once to the good old days when the USA told us what to do" he said, to cheers.

11.25am Floppy Fringe meeting: TV interview training: Boris Johnson on how to deal with the likes of Paxman
Speaker: Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson (Eton and Oxford, Bullingdon) (attendance 621 journalists asking about the Bullingdons)

Boris started by denouncing Paxman ever so cleverly. "I really shafted him, what" he announced. "I mean crumbs, er, brilliant, emm, yes". He went on to

denounce the BBC. "The way to get Paxo is to, er, ask him about his, hmmm, salary, yes and then, gosh, When that fails, keep mumbling the word

"intermediation" - since nobody knows what this means, it should work, er, I think." Members of the audience praised Johnson for his last few seconds,

when Paxman was forced to give way and hand the camera over to him completely, during which Boris brilliantly did some incoherent, unplanned and random

muttering about how marvellous the Tories are. "Gosh I was good", said Boris. "Crikey".

14:25 A journalists love-in, starring Danny Finkelstein, Mary-Anne Genius, Michael Crick, Lord Dale of Chigwell* and Michael White. (attendance 5)

Dale started by denouncing Mike White as a "murderer, bigamist and probable Nazi". That out of the way, Finkestein and that woman from the Times

explained how they and they alone have been right all along about absolutely everything and that chap Crick is a dreadful grammar school oink. Dale went

on to denounce Culture, explaining that it was no "sacred cow" and his number one hate object, although he denied that he was beautifully tricked into

looking totally sad and moronic by Crick during an amusing newsnight presentation.

15:30 "Bring back hunting" special event: "Killing the Fox at Conference". (organised by the Town and Country Young Barkers)

A large number of Tories gathered on the platform to carry out the ancient and annual "killing of the fox at Conference". The fox this time was none

other than Nigel Farage, whom the Party Rather Wishes Was Not About. Mr Farage ran madly about the stage, yelling "we will pinch all your votes this

time" and "Lisbon referendum now!", pursued by a number of ardent young Tories such as Mr Clarke and Mr Rifkind. Finally he was cornered on a point of law about the referendum's constitionality post-hoc a Rome filing of Instruments of the Queen during a Strasbourg Semester. As he died horribly on this point, cheering Conservatives ran out into the streets covered in UKIP blood yelling "the tyrant is dead!".

Tomorrow: How Boris won the war against Crick.

* Recently elevated prior to his assumption into the Bracknell role so that the inconvenience of a Parliamentary career need not be bothered with.DespairingLiberalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02903904463236135611noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6214838.post-85910858416155156332009-10-07T10:12:54.984+01:002009-10-07T10:12:54.984+01:00I think I might make the journey from Brum for the...I think I might make the journey from Brum for these events.Praguetoryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16520923731691837948noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6214838.post-39116555005371365212009-10-07T09:47:13.649+01:002009-10-07T09:47:13.649+01:00Apologies - I'm just about out of annual leave...Apologies - I'm just about out of annual leave!
