A nation shortly to be at war should unite behind the Prime Minister. It was only months later and back in Germany after Operation Desert Storm that I read of the full betrayal of Michael Heseltine.

Somehow, it all fit. The man had - in effect - been a draft dodger in the National Service years, pulling strings to avoid active duty. Unfazed by his selfishness, he had later clothed himself in Guards ties and regalia. Given that background, he wasn't going to view knifing the PM in the back at such a momentous time for his own personal glory as wrong. A slimy little shit, in my view.Thorpehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07937013013431307255noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6214838.post-86445769277032675182010-11-15T12:35:03.671+00:002010-11-15T12:35:03.671+00:00The fools threw away the next twenty years to the ...The fools threw away the next twenty years to the state of national bankruptcy we now face.Tapestryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17267094484651413428noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6214838.post-65751485449457774552010-11-15T10:51:48.062+00:002010-11-15T10:51:48.062+00:00I'll be ordering!I'll be ordering!Span Owshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10144861546996033462noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6214838.post-9980238779756578502010-11-15T10:09:26.352+00:002010-11-15T10:09:26.352+00:00We drank champers that day!We drank champers that day!Simon Lewishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15328606546904222885noreply@blogger.com
