I read a piece - perhaps in the Speccie - around five or six years ago - about him being in a train carriage with violent yobs.

If I remember rightly, they started picking on one person. It bothered Hislop and he looked around to see if he could see any support in the eyes of his fellow males in the carriage, but they were all so preoccupied with what they were reading, they hadn't noticed the intimidation.

I can't remember the end of the story, except I do remember that Hislop did something himself. It may be (memory coming back?) that he pulled the Emergency cord and the train ground to a halt? Someone else may remember ...

Anyway, he's a short man and he was acting alone, but he had the bottle to do something while all the other lily-livered men [excellent at shouting aggressive football chants from the stands,no doubt] pretended not to notice. Hislop stood up for the law and the freedom of the individual to go about one's business in peace, and they failed.

I think he is a fine, fine man. Please ask Widders what she thought of him as a person.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6214838.post-1151275103895127562006-06-25T23:38:00.000+01:002006-06-25T23:38:00.000+01:00How many MP's has she told about the Reinstate Rog...How many MP's has she told about the Reinstate Roger campaign?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
