As Bob Piper noted, he then went onto talk about watching from the seats at the Gallowgate End which was then an all-standing area. To suggest that these two comments were unrelated, and that he wasn't talking about watching Milburn from the Gallowgate End seems to me a typical piece of New Labour hair-splitting.

Furthermore, it is a matter of indubitable fact that Milburn retired in 1955 when Blair was three years old, which is why many Geordie journos thought it odd that he had named him as his childhood hero.Paul Linfordhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01977920120772282561noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6214838.post-1150758655315938182006-06-20T00:10:00.000+01:002006-06-20T00:10:00.000+01:00Sidetrack alertAnnymousette - high time you got yo...Sidetrack alert

Annymousette - high time you got yourself a blog, as you have a fine line in strong opinions.Croydonianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14670533609622717223noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6214838.post-1150757138398740212006-06-19T23:45:00.000+01:002006-06-19T23:45:00.000+01:00No, Croydonian.
